Pattern Collision

I've been spending a lot of time sorting through things for an upcoming project (more on that next week!) and I stumbled across this favorite, hidden away since I moved to New York.  I bought it years ago at one of my favorite antique shops in Michigan.   I love the pattern mash up between the printed bark cloth and crocheted granny squares.  Each square is carefully hand appliqued to the back.   I'm not sure what it's intended "use" was, but I'm quite sure that it is beautiful.  One of these days I'll find the perfect spot for it around here.
