Last week's trip to Scrap

Last week I got up bright and early one morning and my friend Courtney took me to a place that I've been wanting to go for a long time: Scrap!  It was as great as I thought it would be, and in 45 sprinted minutes we hauled home a lot of really great stuff.  If you're in San Francisco with a car, please do check out this treasure trove.

I loved that all the fabric scraps were sorted by color in rolled up bundles.  I didn't bring home any solids (air planes have their drawbacks) but I did find a couple beautiful stripes.  I'll have to show you those later.

Small drawers full of loosely organized sewing things?  I could open and close those all day in search of the perfect button.  They remind me of one of my favorite stores in Chicago, Uncle Fun.  Soon!  Soon I'll be in Chicago again!

  2. Hi, Rebecca! Let me know when you come to Chicago...I didn't realize you had a blog until today, so I read this little note about Uncle Fun's and got excited. I'd love to grab some coffee. Hope all is well!
