Today I took my SAIC class to the Harold Washington Library here in Chicago to look through the Image Files. After waxing on and on about how much I love the collection, I was worried I might have oversold it, but most of them seemed really into it and found great images for their projects. I spent my time browsing through this and that, and pulled out a file marked Samplers, only to discover these two gems, both advertisements from the 1960's. Amazing! Just when I thought I'd seen everything embroidery had to offer, then I saw cross-stitched Crest.
I kind of love the Miller piece. The Crest one is great, but the Miller one is just hilarious.
