I've been making a quilt with my Grandma's house coats. I'm hand quilting the whole thing with perle cotton, and it feels so good to sit still at the end of the day and stitch on and on with this in my lap. It's cooling off again here and I think I'll do a lot of just that. Wishing everyone a cozy weekend.

Beautiful! I had a grandma Dorothy - such a beautiful name. I'm not a quilter...what are the safety pins for?
ReplyDeleteSarah- the safety pins keep all the layers together and organized while you quilt.
DeleteGosh, that's beautiful. What a great idea. I've sewn some of my old clothes into my quilt! Thrifty. It also means you get to keep the memories of when you were wearing them. Love your blog!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
